Perfin tracks what you earn, spend and save. It is local-first, so your numbers live on your device instead of our servers, and it comes with themes because budgeting deserves better than a gray spreadsheet.

Who we are

A tiny studio making the apps we want on our own phones.

Most apps want your attention, your data and a subscription you'll forget to cancel. We'd rather just make good apps: useful, fairly priced, private and nice to use, because we care about the small stuff.

Why an axolotl? They regrow what they lose and somehow always look like they're smiling. We think about that a lot when we ship version two.

These are the rules every Shift M app has to follow before it ships. If we ever break one, call us out.

  • No ads. Ever.

    You're the customer, not the product. Our apps don't show ads and never will.

  • Your data isn't for sale

    We collect only what an app needs to work. Local-first wherever we can, so most of it never leaves your device.

  • Prices that make sense

    Clear prices, no surprise renewals, and leaving is as easy as joining. Worth every cent or we did something wrong.

  • Details matter

    If it feels a little nicer than it had to, that's on purpose. We test the boring parts as hard as the fun ones.

What does "local-first" mean?

Your data is stored on your device first. The app works without an internet connection, and your numbers don't need our servers to exist.

Do you sell or share my data?

No. We don't run ads and we don't sell data. Our apps collect only what they need to work, and we'll always tell you what that is.

So how do you make money?

You pay for apps you find useful. That's the whole business model, and it's why we care so much about making them worth it.

When can I get Perfin?

Soon. Send us a note and we'll let you know the day it's out.

Will there be more apps?

Yes. Perfin is the first. Every new app has to pass the same promises before it ships, so they'll take the time they need.
